General Cargo
General cargo that fits a schedule, whether it fills a train or a corner of one
Not every shipment justifies a block train, and not every client ships one commodity. We carry machinery, consumer goods, project materials and mixed palletised freight in containers and box wagons, consolidated where volume is small and dedicated where it is not — with the customs work handled either way.

One contract, every leg
Why general cargo is never simple
Mixed consignments, unfamiliar products and several parties in one shipment create exactly the grey areas where delays start.
Mixed and irregular volumes
One month you ship three containers, the next a full train. Committing to either extreme wastes money or capacity.
Unclear cargo classification
A wrong HS code or an undeclared battery in a consignment can hold up the whole container for weeks and attract penalties.
Several parties, one shipment
Supplier, buyer, forwarder and terminal all act on the same cargo. Without a single coordinator, responsibility becomes negotiable at the worst moment.
How we run general cargo
One coordinator for the whole chain, with the paperwork checked before the cargo leaves the yard rather than at the border.
Flexible volume options
Groupage and part-container space for small consignments, full containers for regular ones and dedicated wagon or train capacity once volume justifies it.
Customs and classification support
We review commodity descriptions and HS codes before dispatch, flag restricted items and prepare the declarations for export, transit and import.
Suitable equipment for the goods
Standard, high-cube, open-top or flat-rack containers, plus covered box wagons for cargo that cannot sit on a terminal for long.
Door-to-door coordination
Truck legs, terminal handling, rail main haul and final delivery under one contract, with one point of contact for the entire route.
Transport modes for general cargo
From a single pallet to a full train, on the same corridors and the same contract.
Container services
20ft and 40ft boxes including high-cube, open-top and flat-rack, moving on scheduled container trains with predictable departure days.
Groupage and consolidated cargo
Small consignments share a wagon or container with compatible freight, giving regular shippers a rail option without full-load volume.
Wagonload and block trains
Covered box wagons for weather-sensitive goods and dedicated trains for regular flows that have outgrown container services.
Cargo and equipment
The kinds of consignments we handle most often.
Machinery and equipment
Industrial machines, spare parts and production lines in containers or on flat racks, with lifting plans agreed before arrival at the terminal.
Consumer and retail goods
Electronics, appliances, textiles and household goods, mostly in containers, with attention to humidity control and cargo insurance where required.
Building and project materials
Profiles, panels, fittings and site supplies for construction projects, sequenced so deliveries match the site programme.
Mixed and palletised freight
Multi-supplier consignments consolidated at origin, with a packing list per container and unloading instructions for the receiving warehouse.
How we move general cargo
From enquiry to proof of delivery, with the paperwork checked at every step.
- 01
Cargo review
We check the commodity, weight, dimensions and any restricted or hazardous components, and confirm which equipment and documents the route needs.
- 02
Booking and consolidation
Container or wagon space is reserved, and where volume is small we schedule your cargo into the next consolidated departure.
- 03
Loading and documentation
Loading is supervised, seals are applied and the final document set — invoice, packing list, certificates, declarations — is checked before departure.
- 04
Transit and clearance
We file the transit and import declarations, keep you updated at each border and manage clearance so the cargo never waits on paperwork.
- 05
Final delivery
Onward truck delivery to your warehouse or the terminal of your choice, with proof of delivery uploaded to your customer portal.
